Title: Discourse Analysis in International and Intercultural Communication: Applications and Prospects Based on the Current Studies in China
Abstract: Discourse analysis, as a term with a history of more than 70 years since its inception, serves as an important methodological tool in international and intercultural communication research. Based on a systematic review of relevant literature in mainland China, this paper summarizes the current application of discourse analysis in the field. Furthermore, based on a critical reflection of current literature, it explores the prospects for future research from four aspects: increasing attention to multi-modal data, strengthening the framework construction and optimization of theoretical application, incorporating audience perspectives, and enhancing the exploration of the positive aspects of the discourse.
