Title: Corpus-Based Analysis of Linguistic Features and Identification-Prevention Strategies in Telecom Fraud

Abstract: Based on a corpus of 310 telecom fraud cases comprising over 50,000 words, this study conducts a systematic analysis of the linguistic features, semantic categories, and corresponding identification and prevention strategies associated with such fraud. At the linguistic level, fraudulent discourse exhibits a marked “customer-service style” characterized by standardized delivery, frequent use of terms such as “you”(您), “give”(给), “have” (有), and “need”(要), and the strategic incorporation of financial and internet-related jargon to enhance credibility. Semantically, fraudulent activities are categorized into five primary types: benefit inducement, asset protection, emergency assistance, intimidation and threat, and sympathy solicitation. For identification, the public is advised to focus on linguistic cues including keyword patterns, vocal tone, and industry-specific terminology. For prevention, strategies such as rational assessment of presuppositions, seizing conversational initiative, and resisting verbal intimidation are recommended to foster proactive defense awareness and systematically improve societal resilience against telecom fraud.
