Title: Challenges of Digital Literacy in Family Education: The Dilemmas and Breakthroughs of Digital Motherhood
Abstract: Against the backdrop of the digital transformation of education, families have become key sites for technology integration, with mothers facing complex digital responsibilities and challenges. This study examines mothers' dilemmas in digital parenting and proposes a "digital motherhood" framework, addressing inclusion and equity in digital literacy research. Based on interviews with eight mothers, the study identifies challenges in technology access, competency, emotional support, and resource coordination. "Digital motherhood" encompasses operational support, cost investment, educational planning, emotional labor, and resource coordination. Theoretically, the study integrates DigComp, gender role theory, and care theory, proposing Ability–Conversion–Structure (ACS) analytical framework offers a new perspective for understanding how the role of family education evolves. Practically, it suggests enhancing mothers' digital skills, improving platform usability, and strengthening school-society collaboration to promote digital citizenship and educational equity.
