The 7th High-Level Forum on Language Services

From December 27 to 28, 2022, the 7th High-Level Forum on Language
Services was held under the theme Language Services and Digital China, with
offline and online participation in Beijing, Guangzhou, and Wuhan.Co-hosted by
Guangzhou University, the Institute of Applied Linguistics (Ministry of
Education), Central China Normal University, The Commercial Press, and China
Education Television, the forum welcomed experts from universities, research
institutions, and language service enterprises nationwide.At the opening
ceremony, the National Language Resource Service Platform was officially
launched, providing authoritative resources for educational digitalization and
social language needs.Four annual Reports on the State of Language Life in
China (2022) were released, reflecting global trends in language services.The
Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Language Life and Language Service
Development Alliance was founded to foster regional collaboration. Discussions
covered language resource construction, standard Chinese promotion, emergency
language services, language industry development, and international Chinese
education. The forum focused on empowering Digital China and national
strategies through language services, driving breakthroughs in education,
social governance, and regional coordinated development.
